DraftKings.com: $100,000 Fantasy Football Contest – Week 1 Only

Football season is nearly upon us, and DraftKings is running a $100,000 fantasy football contest, but only for Week 1. You can enter for free with your first deposit. The entry fee is $2 for everyone else. The top 11,500 will be paid, with the first place winner getting $10,000.

The contest will start on Sunday, September 7th at 1:00 PM EST. It’s a salary style draft — you’ll get $50,000 with which you can select eight players and one defense. More specifically, the roster configuration is as follows: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex, 1 defense.

    And with that, I’m done with Crashburn Alley. This has been my go-to Phillies blog, but I’m tired of the promotion of DraftKings.

      I’m no fan of ads but as far as I know Bill is out of pocket in running this site. He might be, but I doubt, independently wealthy. If the one post every few months for DraftKings helps defray some of the costs associated with the site it’s well worth the tons of free information and analysis provided on a regular basis by Bill and the other excellent writers on this site.

        I actually don’t mind the ads, Bob. What I mind is totally unrelated (to the topic of the blog/site) advertising/promotional stuff masquerading as content. If there were ads on the page, I’d have no complaint. But ads pretending to be articles = unethical.
