    next time someone uses fielding percentage as a measure of defensive acumen, send them this. it’s the same play as it ever was, and still one a capable first baseman should have gotten, but one less error in the books for the Piece.

    I’d guess it’s because he’s drawn in and doesn’t get the glove on it. “Historically Horrible Defensive Range” and “Octogenarian Range of Bodily Motion” does not an error make, I suppose.
