Pirates and Red Sox in the classic. The Bucs bring home the booty….

    Pirates and Indians. Selig weeps.

I’m not making a prediction, it’s near pointless…but I will absolutely be rooting for either the Pirates, Indians, or Athletics to take it all home. Primarily the Pirates.

Red Sox v. Pirates; Red Sox sweep.

It’s interesting that no one sees the NLCS going deep. In fact, Mike Baumann appears to have the Cardinals sweeping the Dodgers.

I’d consider the odds of Kershaw, Ryu and Greinke being victims of a 4 game sweep quite slim.

The one strong conviction I have at this point is the Cardinals and Pirates playing a very competitive series. I rate it even. Shame it falls into a 5 game set landing hole. That matchup, best of 7 seems far more just. So I can’t look ahead to the NLCS until I see who presumably the Dodgers play.

I believe the winner of Oakland-Detroit will be the winner of Game 1 on Friday. We’ll see if I feel that way if they go to a 5th game.

2 games in, and it’s been aterrific post season so far.
