    I was a bit surprised to see Garcia named here as “Best Reliever” of the week. I gather it’s because of innings pitched, since a few others also gave up 0 runs. Kind of a trivial exercise, of course, but I wonder if for relievers looking at some combo of K% and shutdowns/meltdowns might be of interest for it… Garcia after all pitches almost entirely garbage time anymore.

    The “bests” aren’t a Sabermetrically-thorough exercise. I just go to Phillies.com, look at the stats in the “last 7″ and go from there.

    Perhaps I’ll change the way the whole thing is done for next season.
