One Day FREE Fantasy Contest – $350 in cash prizes

If you missed it on Wednesday, there’s a new way to play fantasy baseball that turns the season long grind into quick one night leagues. And the best part is that you can win cash every single day. You draft a team for one night and get paid out as soon as the games end that night. DraftStreet.com is at the forefront of this new trend in the fantasy world and is giving us a great promotion: a FREE one-day fantasy league with $350 in prizes exclusively for Crashburn Alley fans.

This free contest will be Pick ‘em style drafting. The way Pick ‘Em leagues work is we create 8 tiers of players and each tier will have anywhere from 3 to 10 players in them. All you have to do is select 1 player from each tier.

You can adjust your roster up until the contest starts on tonight at 7:05 ET at which time your rosters will lock and the Live Scoreboard will be available. Note: the 2:20 PM Reds/Cubs game will not be included.

all i want to know is. why is it that our minors is always worse than every body elses? i went to a lakewood game last night and came away impressed with a few of our so called players that aren’t very good! with that said the team they were playing didn’t seem to have any prospects that stuck out. we had one pitcher who came in and pitched the 7th and he blew them away, then the closer came in the 9th. the claws were up 2-1 and this guy lit up the radar gun and shut them dow with 2 k’s and a pop up. last year i went to reading and saw cloyd pitch up close and personal and let me tell you . you don’t have to throw 100mph to be a good pitcher! that’s what gets lost on everybody these days. i’ve seen on these blogs where people are saying cloyd throws 85- 89? i don’t know about that it’s more like 90-92 and unlike your favorite KK this guy has 4 pitches he throws for strikes CONSISTANTLY. i think peop;e are looking at what he did mph wise maybe 2 years ago. god hamels only threw 90-91 when he was cloyds age and now he’s what 89-93 and sometimes he hits a 94. so let me ask you this bill . KK has been very effective out of the pen. i think he belongs there do you! and i think being in last place the time to see some of these guys who everybody thinks stink is now! do you? who ever expected worley to be as good as he’s shown? if i remember all he was was some kid who’d be projected as a late inning guy7th-8th possibly. that was until they brought him up a couple of sept’s ago and saw the kid had moxy and threw stikes. i guess the phils scouts are asleep and you guys go by what everybody else says . ho they don’t have anybody! i say bull! they do ya just gotta move em up. ruf’s line is pretty good and gets better with each level. what’s that tell ya? must not be much cause you critisize him for not being at AAA cause of his age! that’s laughable due to the fact that he’s doing what he’s supposed to do. he’s leading his league in HR’s OPS and is second in RBI. it’s the phils F.O. you should be coming down on. cloyd, ruf, hernandez. should definately be brought up on sept. 1 and play every day at their positions. in fact they’re trying ruf in left! that’s were he should play if he’s brought up to gauge what they have if he’s viable then put him there. move brown to center.go get a third basemen and someone who can drive the ball to play left and we’re close to being a contender.
