Crashburn Adds A New Slugger

I’m pleased to announce that a fifth writer has joined the Crashburn team. Bradley Ankrom will be providing weekly coverage of the Phillies’ Minor League system throughout the season. Prospect coverage was this blog’s weak point, so he will definitely put some shine on that area for us, and most importantly, for you. He has been contributing to Baseball Prospectus (and will continue). Please kindly welcome him to the Crashburn confines. Give him a follow on Twitter while you’re at it.

I’m really interested to learn about some of the prospects in the Phillies system. I’d also like to hear a little about prospects around the league and how prospects go through development. Looking forward to it!

Huzzah! Curious what your first post will be about. Perhaps Dom Brown. Or the young guns in AAA waiting for a shot at a spot in the ‘pen. Or maybe the baby aces. Or perhaps even the strong draft class of 2011.

So many things to discuss, I look forward to it.

Sounds like a great addition. Thanks for the effort to keep making a great site even better.

Hopefully he’s under 30 years old. We all know sluggers don’t age gracefully.

I am! My dad is younger than Jamie Moyer, in fact.

    (I’m 28).
