At Baseball Daily Digest, I look at three hitters who have way over-performed and three who can be expected to keep up the pace.
At Baseball Prospectus, the running list of value picks for starting pitchers has been updated. You may be surprised as to who made the cut.

Unfortunately, the list of April Fail snail-sluggish sluggers is much longer than those you mentioned. Who knew that all Matt Kemp needed to get it going was a celeb girlfriend and freak-show photo shoot for a magazine? It’s like he’s following the Alex Rodriguez starter kit to success.

What about guys who have underperformed? Specifically, Adam Jones has been killing my fantasy team. Do you think he’ll get it together at some point soon?

Yes, I do. Right now, he is hitting way fewer line drives (7.5%) and way more fly balls (44.5%), which speaks to weaker contact to me. Additionally, only four percent of his fly balls have been home runs, about 6.5% lower than his career average.
Also, he only has a .245 BABIP, about 60 points lower than his career average.
The ZiPS projection system pegs him at about an .800 OPS for the rest of the season and I tend to agree with that.
