H,

Thanks for catching that. That would be an error on my part. Amended:

•Dodgers LH batters vs. LH pitchers: .664 OPS
•Dodgers RH batters vs. LH pitchers: .849 OPS

Overall vs. LH: .786

Splits

Unfortunately for the Phillies, the Dodgers handle left-handed pitchers well. During the regular season, they hit for a .786 OPS against left-handers as opposed to .748 against right-handers...Specifically:

•Dodgers LH batters vs. LH pitchers: .664 OPS
•Dodgers RH batters vs. LH pitchers: .755 OPS

After extracting the parts of the article shown above, I don't understand how the Dodgers LH batters posted a .664 OPS vs. LHP's and their RH batters posted a .755 OPS vs. LHP's, yet as a team they hit for a .786 OPS vs. LHP's.

Just saw Kershaw comes game on. Are there ZIPS for his next 5 years? It's going to be extremely interesting to see where his career takes him.

Between him and JUpton there are going to be serious linkage to HOFers.

Manny killed us in the NLCS last year and we did all right because we kept the guys in front of him off the bases. Kemp had a decent NLCS last year but didn't make an impact because he was hitting 7th. He's hitting 4th now, so it's even more important to hold him in check.

I'm worried about the platoon splits. They hit lefties well and we're going to be throwing at least Hamels and Lee at them, potentially Happ, along with relievers Eyre and Bastardo (if he makes the roster).

Their lefty specialists are debilitating. If David Eckstein was 95 years old, he'd still hit for a higher OPS than what lefties hit off of George Sherrill.

The Key IMO is Kemp. Dude had an incredibly great season. Probably should be a top 5 MVP candidate this year.

If he struggles, Phillies have a good chance.

Because guys like Kemp and Manny crush lefties, in addition to other starter besides Lee in trustworthy at this point, I'd have to say Dodgers in 6.
