I've been wondering how Moyer keeps it going. Back in the '70s the Phils hired Jim "Kitty" Kaat at about the same point in his career that they later picked up Moyer. Kaat fooled 'em for a little while with a no-windup delivery, but when the batters figured that out, he could give up four extra base hits on five pitches. His career ended soon thereafter. I've been fascinated as to how Moyer avoids the same fate, although he hasn't had to resort to a trick delivery. Other than Hamels, Moyer has been the Phillies most effective starter this year.
