I remember that as a closer he was topping out at about 95, but of course as a closer he was exerting himself 100%. Based on these last few games he's been consistently in the 90-92 range and he has been able to reach back in key spots and hit 94, so that seems alright. Also important is his ability to locate the fastball--something he has done well since his return. I don't really remember Brett Myers the starter ever throwing 94-95 on a consistent basis though. Was he really throwing 94-95 as a starter though? I remember that as a closer he was topping out at about 95, but of course as a closer he was exerting himself 100%.
