		<description>They wouldn&#039;t take out Youkilis or Lowell to let Bonds play 1B.  I also doubt they would get rid of Sean Casey to let Bonds be a backup at first.</description>

Ortiz has played first in the World Series and during interleague play, granted he&#039;s somewhat of a liability, but at the end of the day his offense will exceed his shortcomings.  Bonds, I have no idea about, but I image that with a little practice he could do it.</description>

		<description>The only question I would have is what would the Red Sox do with Bonds after Ortiz comes off the DL? If they signed Bonds only to fill the void, which I doubt Bonds agree to from a financial standpoint, what good would he be to them?

I don&#039;t see Bonds playing baseball this year, or for that matter ever again. For this year specifically because of his legal issues, not because of his potential to help a team.</description>
