I think what he was saying is that, if you are planning to bunt, get someone at bat who can bunt - otherwise let him swing. I think most of us in Cincinnati watching or listening to the game had the very same concerns the announcers did - Encarnacion is a nortoroius streak hitter and I think most of us envisioned a strikeout or flyout with no advancement. I think we were all as surprised as the announcers. And he did admit he was wrong (but only as far as that at bat went). I love the FJM website but any Cincinnati fan, knowing Encarnacion, would have said the same things.
