You learn something new everyday. I had never heard of the ERA+ stat until today. But after looking up a couple of things, it seems to be everywhere.

People should be tolerant, Christians...and everyone else, too. But there are close-minded extremists in every segment of society. Not all people who believe in God would be willing to take part in the protests you mentioned above. In fact, I think very few would.

There are still registered voters out there who honestly believe Barack Obama is a Muslim terrorist who wants to destroy the country. And even worse, they know how to forward emails.

The Christian Defense Coalition is similar to almost any other political group. They just use the hot topic of the day as their personal soapbox.

I can be tolerant of many things. But I will not stand for new baseball statistics that make me think too hard!!!

When you put the words "Kris" and "Benson" together, it makes me want to puke. I have this nightmare where my favorite team drafts a guy with the same name using the first overall pick in the draft. Then, they bank their future on him becoming an ace...after one decent year with a sub-4.00 ERA and close to 200 strikeouts. They wait through his injury and rehab...wait some more. And then when he returns as half the pitcher he once was...they wait some more.

And at the end of the day, my team has gained nothing...except an abundance of wasted time.

So there's that recurring nightmare. Only sometimes the guy is named Jason Schmidt or Oliver Perez.

No, I got out of religion pretty early by most standards: before I was 11. I regularly skipped my after-school Bible class anyway.

Christians, for the most part, are close-minded bigots, and that's because they're part of a religion that preaches close-mindedness and bigotry.
