I can't see the Phillies re-signing Rowand because he's due for a $60 million/5-year payday. Bourn wouldn't play in centerfield -- Victorino would. Bourn would be in right field. I would prefer Bourn in center, but based on everything I've heard and read, the Phillies organization views Victorino as a centerfielder. Iguchi has always been a solid player since coming over from Japan. He plays his tail off, he brings energy to the field, can hit, field, and has won a world series ring in his short major lead career. To offer him perhaps a two year extension, until Constanzo (currently at Double A) is ready, would be a major upgrade and boost for the clubhouse. It would give us a rock over at third. Consider then, losing Rowand next season. We'd have bourne in center, Iguchi at third and some money left over from Garcia, Barajas, etc. to go out and find a decent starter and reliever (perhaps an Eric Gagne, Dotel, or Linebrink type to go with Myers in the bullpen.
